After a thrilling backpacking adventure through Mexico, Hotel Palacio Maya was the perfect grand finale to my trip. Just a short stroll from Paseo de Montejo, the hotel offered spacious, comfy rooms that felt like a sanctuary. The pool area was a delightful escape from the heat, with a lovely garden dotted with peacocks - a charming touch for weary trekkers like myself. The buffet breakfast was an absolute treat, featuring a variety of local dishes that fueled our explorations. The friendly staff made us feel at home with their warm hospitality, from the front desk to the delightful breakfast team. Whether you're seeking adventure or simply a serene retreat, this hotel strikes the right balance and is a fantastic base to explore everything Merida has to offer!
